David
Lagerqvist Dancer

David Lagerqvist is a Swedish dancer and actor born in Stockholm where he received his professional dance education at The Royal Swedish Ballet School. Early in his career he was an apprentice dancer with The Royal Swedish Ballet. He continued his path with Ballet Du Grand Théâtre de Genève where he toured internationally and performed all around the world. David's career spans between company work and freelance work; he has appeared as a guest with companies such as Danish Dance Theatre and Acosta Danza, as well as danced with collectives such as Art Of Spectra and Pontus Lidberg Dance. As an actor David has worked at The Royal Dramatic Theatre (Kungliga Dramatiska Teatern) in Stockholm as well as played several roles in international feature films and short films. Over the years, he has performed works by choreographers and directors such as Alexander Ekman, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Falk Richter, Pontus Lidberg and Benjamin Millepied amongst many others.
